Our Programs & Services

Six Pathways Toward Stability, Connection, and Collective Wellbeing

At Seeds of Liberation CDC, we recognize that every individual and family carries unique experiences, strengths, and aspirations. There is no single pathway toward stability, restoration, or personal growth.

Our programs are designed to meet people where they are — honoring lived experiences and creating meaningful opportunities for growth through culturally responsive, community-centered support.

We are especially committed to serving Indigenous, Black, and Brown communities who have experienced disproportionate impacts from systemic barriers, while welcoming individuals and families of all backgrounds.

We believe lasting change begins when people are given the opportunity, resources, and support to determine their own futures.

Foster Care & Youth Support

Building belonging for young people navigating the transition to adulthood.

Young people who have experienced foster care often face the transition to adulthood without the family networks, financial resources, or community connections that others rely on. Seeds of Liberation CDC is committed to walking alongside these young people with mentorship, life skills development, and genuine community belonging.

We believe every young person deserves a community that shows up for them — not just during a program, but as they build their lives.

What We Offer

  • Mentorship and consistent adult relationships
  • Life skills and independent living support
  • Community connection and belonging
  • Resource navigation and referrals

Support for People Who Have Experienced Incarceration

Peer support, community connection, and pathways forward for individuals returning home.

Returning home after incarceration can mean navigating housing instability, employment barriers, family separation, and the weight of stigma — often all at once. Seeds of Liberation CDC provides peer-centered support, resource navigation, and genuine community connection for individuals on this journey.

Grounded in the belief that people are more than their past circumstances, we walk alongside individuals as they rebuild relationships, access opportunities, and reclaim their futures.

What We Offer

  • Peer support from people with shared lived experience
  • Resource navigation for housing, employment, and benefits
  • Family reconnection support
  • Community belonging and social connection

Housing Stability

Connecting individuals and families with the resources and support to build lasting stability.

Stable housing is foundational to every other area of life — health, employment, family connection, and community participation. Seeds of Liberation CDC works to connect individuals and families with housing resources, navigate barriers to stability, and advocate for long-term housing security.

We are also exploring future community development opportunities that address housing instability at a deeper, structural level.

What We Offer

  • Housing resource navigation and referrals
  • Support for individuals experiencing housing instability
  • Advocacy and systems navigation
  • Long-term community housing development (in development)

Workforce Development

Creating pathways toward meaningful employment and economic self-determination.

Economic opportunity is a cornerstone of stability and self-determination. Seeds of Liberation CDC provides practical skill-building, career readiness support, and mentorship to help individuals access meaningful employment and build toward long-term economic independence.

We recognize that many individuals face significant barriers to employment — including gaps in work history, limited credentials, and systemic discrimination. Our approach meets people where they are and builds from their existing strengths.

What We Offer

  • Career readiness and job preparation
  • Skills training and professional development
  • Mentorship from community professionals
  • Employment navigation and employer connections

Behavioral Health & Recovery

Recovery-centered peer support and community connection for individuals navigating substance use and mental health challenges.

Healing is not a linear process, and it is rarely something people can do alone. Seeds of Liberation CDC provides recovery-centered peer support and community connection for individuals navigating substance use challenges, mental health, and the intersection of both.

Our approach is grounded in compassion, cultural responsiveness, and the understanding that recovery looks different for every person. We meet people where they are — without judgment — and walk alongside them toward healing and stability.

What We Offer

  • Peer support from individuals with lived recovery experience
  • Community connection and belonging
  • Resource navigation and referrals to treatment
  • Culturally responsive, trauma-informed support

Family Preservation

Strengthening family relationships, supporting parenting, and working to keep families together.

Families are the foundation of community. Seeds of Liberation CDC provides culturally grounded programs that strengthen family relationships, support parents and caregivers in developing their skills, and work to prevent unnecessary family separation.

For families already navigating separation — including those impacted by incarceration or the child welfare system — we provide support for reconnection, relationship repair, and the rebuilding of family systems.

What We Offer

  • Parenting support and skill-building
  • Family relationship strengthening
  • Support for families navigating the child welfare system
  • Family restoration following incarceration

Our Approach

Every program at Seeds of Liberation CDC is grounded in the same core values: dignity, cultural responsiveness, lived expertise, and genuine relationship.

We believe people are the experts on their own lives. Our role is to walk alongside individuals and families — offering resources, connection, and support — while honoring their self-determination and the strengths they already carry.

We are not a program people pass through. We are a community people belong to.
